Titled Nansen’s Flower, HOFMANN COPENHAGEN's SS24 collection celebrates the power and connectivity of nature. Through an artisanal blend of colours, experimental fabrics and floral motifs, the collection explores the theological story of Nansen’s Flower with a fresh, modern perspective.
Nansen’s Flower derives from an old Japanese story about becoming one with nature. It is a story which is used for theological training for Zen priests. At the root of the story is the belief that all things are of the same substance, both humans and flowers. Such a belief encourages a new perspective; to look at flowers like we look at those we love with respect, compassion and understanding.
The SS24 collection tells the story through a progressive ready-to-wear ensemble of modern garments. Each piece has been thoughtfully designed through a collective desire to connect to different facets of the world; natural and manmade, past and future. As a result, the wearer becomes a physical manifestation of the flower garden, creating their own story.
